UEFA Women’s Champions League league phase draw awaits tomorrow

Following Wednesday evening’s 2-1 aggregate victory over PSV Eindhoven, HB Køge Women are now officially one of the 18 teams in the league phase of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

The league phase draw takes place on Friday. Here is everything you need to know about the format, who we could face and how you can follow the draw.

Six matches await

In Friday’s draw, HB Køge Women will be drawn against six opponents – three at home and three away.

The 18 teams have been divided into three seeding pots based on UEFA’s coefficient rankings, with HB Køge Women placed in Pot 3.

We will face two teams from each of the three pots, playing one at home and the other away. This means HB Køge Women will also face two teams from our own seeding pot.

Once all six matches have been played, the top four teams in the league table will advance directly to the quarter-finals. Teams finishing 5th to 12th will compete in two-legged play-offs for the remaining four quarter-final places, while teams finishing 13th to 18th will be eliminated from the competition.
