Kristian Mørch ahead of Brøndby: "We will focus on ourselves"

Tomorrow evening, HB Køge Women face their second away game of the season as they travel to the western outskirts of Copenhagen to take on Brøndby IF.

After three wins from the first three league matches of the season, HB Køge Women now face an opponent that has traditionally produced close and intense encounters. Head coach Kristian Mørch is therefore looking forward to another good test for his team.

"We are looking forward to facing a strong opponent who usually gives us some close games. At the same time, we feel that we have already faced opponents of a good level so far, especially in the UEFA Women's Champions League, so this is not the first time this season that we feel we need to be on our toes," says Kristian Mørch.

Focus on our own performance
Brøndby have had a mixed start to the league season but come into the match on the back of a win at the weekend as well as progression in the UEFA Women's Europa Cup.

Kristian Mørch has also seen positive signs from tomorrow's opponents but stresses that the Swans' main focus will be on their own performance.

"I think they are playing better than they did in the spring, although back then they managed to get slightly better results. So it is difficult to say exactly where they stand. But regardless of what they bring, we are going to focus on ourselves and our own performance. That will be our starting point," says the head coach.

Making the most of our advantage
Last season's league matches between HB Køge Women and Brøndby IF were both close encounters, with the exception of one of the cup semi-finals.

Kristian Mørch hopes to see his side create plenty of chances against Brøndby once again, but this time with even greater efficiency if HB Køge Women manage to take control of the game.

"I hope we are able to create as many chances against them as we did last season. At the same time, I hope we have become significantly better at making the most of any advantage we might have. But it is a new season, so it could also be a completely different type of game against an opponent who approaches things differently," Kristian Mørch concludes.
