Jack Jeppesen is HB Køge Women’s Coach of the Year 2025

It is not only those inside the lines who deserve recognition. The same goes for those on the sidelines who help shape tomorrow’s talents every single day. And it is exactly here we find HB Køge Women’s Coach of the Year 2025. The award went to Jack Jeppesen, who works in the club’s youth department.

Jack has been part of the club for eight years and has therefore been involved from the very beginning. He has held many different roles since then, but today he works with the U19 team. He was originally hired as an assistant coach, but since October he has served as interim head coach — a role he will continue in into the new year.

Sporting director Jonas Nielsen explains why Jack is this year’s winner:

“Jack has been named HB Køge Women’s Coach of the Year — an honour that truly reflects his importance to the club. In the eight years he has been here, he has made a significant impact. Not only through his work on the pitch, but equally through the way he interacts with people.”

“Jack is one of those rare types who gives everything of himself every single day. Players and staff feel his commitment in everything he does, and his energy lifts the community around him. A good example came during the end-of-year dinner at Rox Resort, where Jack received the award. A few of the new players were unsure who he actually was, so they asked some of our youth players at the table. One responded immediately: ‘I love being coached by that guy,’ and another chimed in right away.”

“Even though Jack has never had ambitions of being a head coach, this year showed clearly who he is as a club man. When he suddenly found himself responsible as interim head coach for the U19 team, he took on the task without hesitation. Not because it was his dream, but because it was what the club needed. He stepped into the role with humility, passion, and a sense of responsibility that impressed everyone around him. To us, Jack is the embodiment of a true club man: loyal, dedicated, and always willing to lead by example. That is why it is not only deserved, but completely natural that he receives the Coach of the Year award.”
