HB Køge Women are delighted to announce the signing of 18-year-old Polish midfielder Zuzanna Witek. Zuzanna joins the club from KKS Czarni ANTRANS Sosnowiec, where she has already made more than 70 appearances in the Polish top flight despite her young age.
"We have been working to bring Zuzanna to the club for quite some time. She is a player we have followed closely since the first time we saw her, and she quickly became someone we wanted to bring to HB Køge Women. There was strong interest from some of Europe's biggest clubs, so we are very pleased that she has chosen our organization and believes this is the right place for her continued development. She has just arrived in Denmark after captaining Poland at the UEFA Women's U19 European Championship in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where she wore the captain's armband in every match. She will now turn her attention to the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup on home soil in Poland, where we also expect her to play an important role," says Sporting Director Jonas Nielsen.Zuzanna made her senior debut for KKS Czarni ANTRANS Sosnowiec at just 14 years of age during the 2021/22 season. In her debut campaign, she helped the club win both the Polish league title and the Polish Cup. The club repeated that achievement in the recently concluded season by securing another domestic double.
At international level, Zuzanna has established herself as one of Poland's brightest young talents. She has represented her country at U15, U17 and U19 level, earning two, 29 and 17 caps respectively. Most recently, she captained Poland at the UEFA Women's U19 European Championship in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and in September she will represent her country once again at the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup on home soil.
Zuzanna is excited to join the club, which she sees as the right place to continue her development.
"HB Køge Women is the right place for me at this stage of my career. The club has big ambitions and a professional environment, which I believe is the perfect place for me to continue developing as a player. I'm looking forward to learning from the coaching staff, competing at a high level, and challenging myself every day. At the same time, I hope I can contribute to the team's continued success and help us win more trophies. I'm also really excited to become part of a team with players from many different countries and cultures. It's a challenge that I believe will help me grow both on and off the pitch. I'm looking forward to this next chapter and to competing for titles both in Denmark and on the international stage," says Zuzanna about her move to HB Køge Women.
Welcome to HB Køge Women, Zuzanna!
