HB Køge Women sign Ida Marie Jørgensen

HB Køge Women sign 20-year-old defender Ida Marie Jørgensen from OB Q.
Ida Marie joins the club with A-Liga experience, having played several matches for the Funen side.

“Ida Marie Jørgensen is a player that both Kristian and I have previously had the opportunity to work with. She’s the type of player you don’t forget, and if she wasn’t the very first name, then she was certainly among the first we wrote down when we began identifying our transfer targets. Despite her young age, Ida Marie has already shown that she possesses the qualities to become a standout player in the A-Liga. She combines natural talent with significant development potential, which we have followed closely over a longer period. We are also aware that patience will be required, as she is working her way back to her former level after a long injury spell. That is exactly why we are especially pleased that she is now part of the squad, so we can support her through the process and provide the right environment for her to reach her top level again,” says sporting director Jonas Nielsen.

In addition to her time at OB Q, Ida Marie has represented several Danish youth national teams. So far, she has made 36 youth international appearances across the U16 to U23 teams.

She is now looking forward to pulling on the HB Køge Women shirt and becoming part of a setup she is excited to join.

“I have chosen to move to Køge because I’ve been given the opportunity to join a setup in HB Køge Women that I see as the right next step for me. The club offers a professional environment that allows me to focus 100% on football and on my development as a player. I am really looking forward to developing both individually and as a team player in an environment with high standards, skilled coaches, and professional surroundings. I’m also excited to be challenged every day, take the next step in my career, and contribute positively to the team and the club,” Ida Marie says about her move.

Ida Marie will meet her new teammates when she — together with the rest of the squad — begins preparations for the spring season in a few days.
