HB Køge Women and FC København have agreed on a loan deal for 19-year-old forward Emelía Oskarsdóttir, who will therefore spend the remainder of the season with the Copenhagen club.
Emelía made her long-awaited comeback in the autumn after being sidelined for over a year with an ACL injury. Since then, she has made several substitute appearances and earned starting spots in the Danish Women’s Cup. The goal now is to secure more consistent playing time so Emelía can continue her positive development.
“With the loan move to FC København, Emelía gets the chance to play in a strong and ambitious setup where she can get more minutes under her belt. The stay will give her high-level playing time that can help strengthen her rhythm and confidence on the pitch. Emelía is a player with great potential, and it’s important that she gets regular matches in an environment that sets high demands and matches her qualities. We see her time at FC København as a good step for her, and we are confident that she will return even stronger and ready to contribute even more to our team in the coming seasons,” says Sporting Director Jonas Nielsen.
Good luck at FC København, Emelía!
