HB Køge Women have signed American player Catherine Paulson. The 24-year-old primarily operates on the left side but is also capable of playing on the right, and she joins the club on a free transfer. Most recently, she played for NWSL club Bay FC.
“Catherine Paulson is a player we have followed closely for several years. She has performed at the very highest collegiate level at Stanford University before making the step into professional football in the NWSL with Bay FC in her hometown of San Francisco.
This reflects both quality, mental strength, and an understanding of what it takes to perform at the highest level. Moving from one of the strongest college programs in the world to professional football in the United States is, in itself, a mark of quality.
Combined with an exceptional work ethic and strong character, we have no doubt that Catherine has all the prerequisites to build an exciting and impactful future at HB Køge Women,” says Sporting Director Jonas Nielsen.
Catherine is excited about the next chapter in her career and is particularly looking forward to the title race ahead this spring.
“I chose HB Køge Women because of the amazing people at the club and the opportunity to grow in my career. I’m really excited to play with the team and fight to win the league. I believe in what the club is building for women’s football, and I’m very excited to be a part of it,” says Catherine, who will wear number 13 for HB Køge Women.
Welcome to the club, Catherine!
