Zuzanna Witek called up to Poland’s national team for the first time

Following the news of Emelía Óskarsdóttir’s first call-up to the Iceland senior national team, another HB Køge Women player can now look forward to her first senior international camp. This time, Zuzanna Witek has been called up to the Poland senior national team.

The call-up comes after a string of strong performances for HB Køge Women, as well as an impressive U20 World Cup with Poland, where Witek wore the captain’s armband in every match. Her performances have now been rewarded with a first senior call-up, giving her the opportunity to represent Poland at senior level for the first time.

Like Iceland, Poland will be in action in the first round of the playoffs for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup. They will face Belgium over two legs as they look to keep their World Cup dream alive.

The first leg will take place away in Belgium on Friday, October 9 at 20:15, before Poland host the return leg on Tuesday, October 13 at 18:00.
