Mille Gejl and Simone Boye have today been selected for Denmark’s senior national team, which is set to face two important World Cup qualification matches.

At the time of writing, Denmark leads their group after defeating Serbia at home in the most recent international break, while also securing a draw away against Italy. Now, they will aim to defend—and ideally extend—their lead as they prepare for matches against Sweden and Italy.

Sweden is also on four points but has an inferior goal difference compared to Denmark. This sets up a direct battle for first place when Denmark faces Sweden on Tuesday, April 14 at 19:00.

The second match of the international window will be played at home against Italy. The game will take place at the national stadium, Parken, and promises to be a major celebration for Danish women’s football. The match kicks off on Saturday, April 18 at 15:00.

Both matches will be broadcast live on one of DR’s channels.
