Three additional Swans selected for national teams

As the international break is approaching, seven Swans are already set to represent Denmark. Capatin Mille Gejl and defender Simone Boye have both been selected for the senior national team, while goalkeeper Alberte Vingum, defender Ida Marie Jørgensen, striker Mai Wendicke, winger Sarah Thygesen, and defender Signe Markvardsen will join the U23 national team.

Ema Aleksić
Goalkeeper Ema Aleksić has once again been called up to Serbia’s senior national team as they compete for crucial points in the World Cup qualifiers. Ahead of this camp, Serbia sits at the bottom of the same qualification group currently led by Denmark, but they did secure an impressive point against Sweden. Therefore, Ema and the rest of the Serbian squad head into two matches against Italy and Sweden with confidence.

The first match against Italy will be played at home in Serbia on Tuesday, April 14 at 18:15 (Danish time), while the second match against Sweden will be played away on Saturday, April 18 at 16:00.

Jereko
Midfielder Jereko has traveled to Kenya, where she and her teammates are hosting a four-team friendly mini-tournament called FIFA Series 2026. In the semifinal, they will face India on Saturday, April 11 at 17:00.

If they win, they will advance to the final to face the winner of Malawi vs. Australia. If they lose to India, they will instead play against the loser of that match. The exact times for the final and third-place match have not yet been confirmed.

Augusta Callesen
Defender Augusta Callesen has received a late call-up to Denmark’s U23 national team, joining a squad that already includes five HB Køge Women players. This marks Augusta’s first time with the U23 national team, where she will face strong opposition in the USA and either France or Scotland.

The match against the USA will be played on Monday, April 13 at 13:00, while the time for the second match has yet to be confirmed.
