At the turn of the year, Olivia Garcia will leave HB Køge Women when her contract with the club expires. The 22-year-old American forward departs after joining shortly before the transfer deadline in the 2024 winter window.
“Olivia has been a truly fantastic player to have at the club. She has scored several important goals, especially last season. Things in football can move quickly, and we have mutually agreed that now is the right time to part ways. Olivia has been an incredible person and a wonderful ambassador for HB Køge Women, and we wish her all the best in the future,” says sporting director Jonas Nielsen.
Olivia Garcia made her debut for the club on 17 March 2024 in a 3–1 win against AGF, where she scored twice. Since then, she has played 57 matches and scored 28 goals for the club. Last season she netted 17 league goals and was a key part of the team’s strong push towards a top-three finish — a performance that earned her the HB Køge Women Player of the Year 2024 award.
This season, Olivia has featured in 20 matches and scored three goals.
“Playing for HB Køge Women was a dream come true. The belief the club and coaching staff had in me from the very beginning has been one of the greatest gifts. The competition in the league, the support from the staff, and the bond with teammates and fans have made me the best version of myself — both as a player and as a person. Denmark will always hold a special place in my heart, and I wish nothing but the best for my Swans in the future.”
Everyone in and around HB Køge Women would like to thank Olivia for her time at the club and wish her the very best in her future career.
