Jereko has travelled home to Kenya, where she is joining the Kenyan national team as they prepare for the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
Kenya qualified for the tournament back in October after defeating Gambia in the decisive playoff round. The team now turns its attention to WAFCON, which kicks off on 17 March, when they play the opening match against the hosts, Morocco.
Before that, two friendly matches await: against Benin on Monday, 2 March, and against Ivory Coast on Wednesday, 4 March.
Kenya has been placed in Group A, which – in addition to Kenya and Morocco – includes Algeria and Senegal. The match schedule for Jereko and Kenya is as follows:
