American Goalkeeper Joins HB Køge Women

HB Køge Women continue to strengthen the squad ahead of the upcoming season and can now welcome standout American goalkeeper Lauren Kozal to the club. The 25-year-old joins the Danish champions after spending the past two seasons as the starting goalkeeper for with Swiss side Grasshopper Club Zürich.

Lauren Kozal brings both international experience and strong leadership qualities to HB Køge Women. Before moving to Europe, she played collegiate soccer at Michigan State University, where she made 70 appearances. She later continued her career with Midwest United FC in the USL W League.

In 2023, Kozal was selected 32nd overall in the NWSL Draft by Portland Thorns before being loaned to Tampa Bay Sun FC in the USL Super League. She has also represented the United States at U23 level, earning two international caps.
