To support our continued growth, we are looking to build a team of talented freelance photographers who can help us capture and tell the story of HB Køge Women.
Who are we hiring?
We are looking for two to three freelance photographer(s) to form a photography team responsible for covering HB Køge Women’s matches throughout the season.
As part of the team, you will work together with the other photographers to divide matches between you . This includes home and away matches in the Danish league and cup competitions, as well as European fixtures.
Our schedule includes matches on weekends, weekdays and evenings, and some assignments may involve travel within Denmark or internationally for European away matches.
You are therefore not expected to be available for every match. Instead, we are looking to establish a reliable team of two to three photographers who, together, can ensure consistent coverage throughout the season.
This is a freelance position, and photographers will be paid per match covered. The exact freelance rate will be based on level of experience.
What will you do?
- Photograph HB Køge Women’s home and away matches across domestic and European competitions.
- Capture high-quality action photography throughout matches.
- Capture celebrations, emotions, supporters, atmosphere and other moments that tell the wider story of a matchday.
- Deliver a strong and varied selection of images for use across HB Køge Women’s social media channels, website, press materials and other club platforms.
- Work with the other photographers and the club’s Media team to maintain a consistent editing style and uniform visual look across all match photography.
- Work closely with the club’s Media team to understand content priorities and specific needs for each match.
- Coordinate availability and match coverage with the other photographers in the freelance photography team.
- Deliver selected and edited photos quickly after matches, with selected images potentially required during matches for live social media coverage.
- Represent HB Køge Women professionally when working at stadiums and other venues in Denmark and abroad.
What do you need to succeed?
- Experience with sports photography, preferably football or another fast-paced sport.
- A strong understanding of action photography and the ability to capture key moments in a live sporting environment.
- Your own professional or high-quality photography equipment suitable for football photography.
- Experience editing and delivering photos efficiently.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced matchday environment.
- A creative eye and an understanding of how photography can contribute to storytelling and social media content.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with the club and the other photographers.
- Reliability and flexibility when committing to assigned matches.
Additional Requirements
- Must be available for a flexible schedule that can include weekends, weekdays and evenings.
- Must be willing to cover both home and away matches when agreed upon.
- Some assignments may involve travel within Denmark.
- Availability to travel internationally for UEFA Women’s Champions League matches
