HB Køge Women return to home soil on Saturday as Fortuna Hjørring visit Køge Idrætspark for an important clash in the race for the Danish championship.
The match comes a week after the convincing 4-1 victory over FC Nordsjælland in the cup final, where HB Køge Women secured the 2026 Danish Cup title. A week marked by joy and pride, but also by full focus on the next challenge.

“It’s been a good week. We’re proud and happy about the cup victory and the way we achieved it. We’re really pleased with the performance we delivered. It’s been a good week, but there has also been full focus on this match,” says head coach Kristian Mørch.
The cup final did not only bring the club’s first-ever cup title, but also served as an important reminder of the level the team can reach during the decisive stage of the season.
“The most important thing was that we once again delivered a really, really strong performance. This time we were much more clinical in front of goal than we have been at any other point during the season. The key thing was that the performance level was very high once again, and that’s the level we need to bring again tomorrow.”
Saturday’s opponents, Fortuna Hjørring, are a side with quality and ambitions of securing European football, and Kristian Mørch expects a game where the visitors will see plenty of the ball.
“Fortuna are very good at using a lot of passes in their game and they tend to play at the same tempo throughout, with a huge amount of passing in the team, and that’s something they do really well. For us, it’s about making sure they don’t get long spells on the ball and about forcing them back into their own half as much as possible.”
For HB Køge Women, the key will therefore be to impose themselves on the match from the very beginning and play with the high intensity that suits the team best.
“We want the match to be played at our tempo, which we believe is a higher tempo than Fortuna are comfortable with. We also need to be good at staying compact when we don’t have the ball and be sharp in both penalty areas. That’s what will be decisive,” the head coach concludes.
Kick-off at Køge Idrætspark is at 14:00, while the gates open at 13:00. From the moment the gates open until kick-off, fans will have the opportunity to take pictures with the trophy that HB Køge Women won last Saturday.
If you are unable to support the Swans at the stadium, the match will also be broadcast live on TV 2 Sport X, with coverage beginning at 13:30.
